Skittle Color Wheel

Here is a simple experiment mixing colors.
All you need is a little warm water and a bag of Skittles.
Place Skittles around edge of a plate,add a little warm water and watch the rainbow begin.
Save a few Skittles to enjoy! YUM 😃

Apple Leaf Prints

1 apple

Paper towel

Washable paint

Paper plate

Light colored construction paper

 

Step 1: Parents cut the apple in half crosswise. Dry off the inside with a paper towel.

Step 2: Pour a small amount of paint onto paper plate.

Step 3: Show your child how to grasp the apple to dip it into the paint. Have him/her press the painted apple onto paper to create a print. The effect will look like a star.

Silky, Stretchy, Two Ingredient Play Dough

Parents this is a fun and easy recipe for Play Dough

Ingredients needed:

One bottle of hair conditioner.

Box of cornstarch

In a large mixing bowl mix one-cup hair conditioner (scented if you like) and two cups cornstarch.

Roll mixture into a ball and have fun!!

 

This recipe takes little time to make and if smells great too!

A-mazing-ing Water Drop

This slick trick will help your child develop eye/hand coordination and creativity.

Material: a cup of water, waxed paper, a toothpick, paper, a pen

​

First, place a pea sized drop of water on a sheet of waxed paper. Next dip a toothpick in water and touch the drop – without touching the waxed paper. Show your child how the toothpick can move the water across the paper.

Once your child has had a little practice moving the drop, draw a simple maze or spiral on a piece of paper and slide it under the waxed paper. Let your child use the toothpick to lead the drop of water through the maze.

For an older child: Draw letters, numbers, or shapes, and let your child practice moving the drop along the lines.
